Monster and zombie games: defence, arenas and survival

Hordes keep coming, ammo is always short and the shelter has to hold — that's the setup for most games here. How you deal with the monsters, though, varies a lot.

Some games are all about defence. In Invasion of Monsters: Don't Let the Monsters Pass! you place cannons, mines and barricades and save up coins for more. Zombie City has you guard your spot as the last survivor, with a big choice of weapons. Others throw you straight into the fight: Toxic Arena: Biological Threat and Crazy Survival are arena games with waves of enemies and weapon upgrades, the latter in pixel art. Zombie Drift: Steel Rage puts you behind the wheel of an armoured truck, where sharper drifts pay off. If you prefer slow progression, Object 73: Survival Clicker is an idle RPG clicker about a clone who comes back to life after every death in the underground Jericho complex.

This collection suits players who want action without a long intro. Crazy Survival is an easy place to start: the controls are simple and your hero gets stronger fairly quickly.
