Genre: Strategy

The strategy games here span nearly the whole genre, from chess to castle sieges. Citadel: Fortress Siege is a medieval real-time strategy in 3D: you begin with a lone keep, juggle six resources and lay roads, because buildings cut off from the castle simply don't work. Chess Deluxe lets you play friends online, share one device, or take on the Stockfish engine.

Tower-defence fans can try Invasion of Monsters: Don't Let the Monsters Pass!, with cannons, mines and barricades, Empire: Build and Defend!, where you mine diamonds first and then hold your tower against zombies, and Sand Bastion, a beach tower defence where sand walls force crabs into winding paths under fire. All the defence games are gathered in base and tower defense. You can start straight away, with nothing to install.
