About the game
Nonograms, also known as Japanese crosswords, reveal an image through logic. The numbers beside each row and column show how many filled cells run together: "4" means four in a row, "1 2" means one, a gap, then two. Right now the game has one black-and-white 10×10 puzzle, "Torii Gate", with a single solution.
Fill cells, mark empty ones with a cross and watch the picture appear. You may make up to five mistakes, undo is unlimited, a hint reveals a correct cell, and your best time is saved.
Tips:
1. Start with the biggest numbers — they settle many cells at once.
2. Solve the lines near the edges first.
3. Mark empty cells with crosses.
4. Check where rows and columns cross.
5. Do not guess: you only have five mistakes.
FAQ:
— What is a nonogram? A grid logic puzzle, also called a Japanese crossword.
— Can I play nonograms online for free? Yes, in your browser with no sign-up.
— How do I play on a phone? Tap to fill a cell, swipe to fill a stretch.
How to play:
The numbers beside each row and column say how many filled cells run together and in what order. Fill the cells so the groups match the numbers and the picture appears. Mark empty cells with crosses. A mistake is a filled empty cell; the fifth mistake ends the round. Undo removes a move, Clear resets the board and Hint reveals one correct cell. A line that matches its numbers fades and its empty cells are crossed out automatically.
Desktop: left click fills a cell (drag to paint a line), right click places a cross, and clicking a filled cell again erases it. Hold Space or press C for Cross mode; Ctrl+Z undoes, H gives a hint, R clears the board.
Phone: tap fills, a second tap erases, swipe along a row or column to fill a stretch, and the Cross toggle switches to crosses.
