About the game
Spider Solitaire is the classic two-deck patience game: 104 cards, 10 columns and eight runs to build from King down to Ace. Play it free online in your browser. Pick 1 suit to learn the ropes, 2 suits for a real challenge or 4 suits if you are an expert. One button switches the suits and starts a new deal.
Undo takes back a move together with the score, Hint points to a good move, and every win adds one more hint. Your best score, wins, suit choice and card back are saved.
Tips:
1. Turn over face-down cards first — they open new moves.
2. Build runs of one suit: they move as a single group.
3. Do not deal from the stock while useful moves remain.
4. Keep an empty column free: any card or group can go there.
5. With 4 suits, plan two or three moves ahead.
FAQ:
— Is Spider Solitaire free to play? Yes, with no download or sign-up.
— How do I play on a phone? Drag cards with your finger and tap the stock to deal.
— How many suits should a beginner choose? Start with one, then move on to two.
How to play:
Build eight complete runs from King down to Ace. A finished single-suit run goes home and frees its column.
• A card goes onto the next higher rank, such as a seven onto an eight; suit does not matter for a single card.
• Only a single-suit run in descending order can be moved as a group.
• Any card or group can be placed in an empty column.
• When you are stuck, deal from the stock: one card to each column, five deals in total.
• Scoring: start at 500, −1 per move, +100 per completed run.
Desktop: drag a card or a group onto a column with the mouse; valid columns are highlighted and clicking the stock deals. Keys: U — undo, H — hint, N — new deal, Space — deal from the stock.
Phone: drag with your finger, tap the stock to deal, tap a face-up card to make its only move, and long-press a group to see where it fits.
