About the game

Word Search hides words inside a grid of letters. Eight animal words are hidden on an 8×8 board: draw a line through neighbouring cells up, down, left or right, turning at right angles. A word can read either way, but diagonal moves are not allowed.

A round lasts three minutes, and every word you find adds 10 seconds. A wrong line simply fades with no penalty. A hint shows one word's path for five seconds, and your best time is saved. The word set is fixed; the layout changes each round.

Tips:
1. Start with the longest words — their paths stand out.
2. Try reading a word backwards too.
3. Look for turns next to words you have already found.
4. Do not get stuck: switch to another word.
5. Save the hint for the end of the round.

FAQ:
— Is this word search game free? Yes, with no sign-up or download.
— How do I play on a phone? Drag your finger across the letters.
— Why did my word not count? The line must match the word exactly.

How to play:
Find all eight words before time runs out. Touch the first letter and draw a line through neighbouring cells — up, down, left or right. A word reads either way and may turn at right angles; diagonal moves are not allowed. Release the line: if the letters spell a word from the list, it counts. Every found word adds 10 seconds. Hint shows the path of one word for five seconds.

Desktop: hold the left mouse button and drag, or click letters one by one and press Enter; Backspace removes the last letter, Esc clears the line.
Phone: touch a letter and drag your finger; the × button clears the line.
